Dishoom announces the launch of its At-Home Bacon Naan Roll Cookery Kits.
It’s that moment we’ve all been waiting for. Dishoom has finally reopened for deliveries! What’s more, it has just announced the launch of its first-ever, at-home cookery kit, featuring the iconic Bacon Naan Roll and Masala Chai.
From Thursday 18th June, lovers of the Dishoom breakfast classics can get the ingredients to create two Bacon Naan Rolls and accompanying Masala Chai sent directly from the café kitchens to their homes.
Each Bacon Naan Roll Kit (serves two) contains:
- Smoked streaky bacon from Ramsay of Carluke (matured in the traditional Ayrshire way and smoked over applewood and beechwood chips)
- Three naan doughballs (enough for two plus a spare for experimentation)
- Tomato-chilli jam (Dishoom’s sweet, sharp, spicy signature sauce)
- Fresh coriander (you can leave this out if you consider it “the devil’s herb”)
- Cream cheese
- Loose leaf Darjeeling tea and chai spices (black peppercorns, cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, cloves)
The kit also comes with full cooking instructions, including the method for achieving pillowy-soft naan perfection at home (a handy video to help first-timers will also be available online).
Each kit costs £16 and for every Bacon Naan Roll Kit sold, Dishoom will donate a meal to Magic Breakfast, its long-term charity partner that provides free, nutritious meals to children that might otherwise go hungry. Initially, the kit was only available to neighbours of the King’s Cross, Kensington and Shoreditch cafés, however as of 26th June, the kit has gone nationwide! Patrons both near and far can now purchase their kits for nominated day delivery to any UK mainland address (excluding the Scottish Highlands) via the Dishoom online store. Orders can be made up to one month in advance of the desired delivery date. All kits are prepared by the team and a limited number will be available for each day – fastest fingers will be richly rewarded.
Dishoom Dishes Deliveries
For those looking for some other top Dishoom dishes, a delivery menu of café classics is now available daily 11:30am to 10:30pm to neighbours of Dishoom‘s King’s Cross, Kensington and Shoreditch branches, as well as nationwide via. Patrons can check to see if they are within the existing delivery zones at www.dishoom.com/order-online. Those not yet within the delivery radius of these three cafés can stay tuned for more updates – particulars will be shared in due course.
The menu includes small plates, including Vada Pau, Chilli Chicken and Keema Pau; heartier dishes of Biryani, Chicken Ruby, Mattar Paneer, and (of course) the much-missed House Black Daal; and a selection of breads, rice and sides. A first-rate selection of tipples is also available, including beers, wines and those nostalgic Bombay sodas, Thums Up, Limca and Pallonji’s Raspberry Soda.
