If you’re anything like us, you’re sick of the heartbreaking news of many much-loved local independents closing up shop due to COVID-19 and lockdown. However, this sad state of affairs only makes us more delighted to share the news of Nebula bursting onto the scene.

Brought to life by two industry stalwarts, Nate Brown (drinks writer, consultant and previous owner of the world-famous Merchant House) and Shane Long (founder and owner of Franciscan Well Brew Pub and the man behind Jameson Cask Mates), Nebula is a promising new destination for those looking to leisurely indulge in well-curated cocktails, spirits from local brands, a wide selection of craft beers and wines from Renegade Urban Winery just down the road, alongside pizzas such as the Intergalactic PCP (Ricotta base, Cavolo Nero, Pancetta, Peas); £11) and the “alien to some” Planetary Pickled Pineapple (Chilli Pickled Pineapple, Ham, Tabasco Sriracha; £10.50).

Cocktails on offer have been developed to complement the foodie fare, with aperitivi galore and the signature Nebula Negroni (£8.50) featuring local gin, vermouth, bitters and a touch of basil. Ten beer taps will line the back bar, with rotating lines in flanking fridges from breweries near and far.

The venue itself is large and airy with generous seating and a verdant courtyard. The speckled pink bar top promises to be a picture-perfect feature and is made from recycled plastics and glass that were fished out of the sea.

Nate says,
“I believe that, now more than ever, in the importance of a sense of community and every aspect of Nebula was designed with the neighbourhood in mind. We are very excited to be bringing a new hangout into the area.”
