The Whisky Exchange presents Rum Show – a global celebration of rum over two days (22-23 July 2022).
Legends of cane world, Sly Augustin and Georgi Radev from top London rum bars, Trailer Happiness and Laki Kane, will be co-hosting this year’s event with Dawn Davies, MW of The Whisky Exchange, inviting guests to dive deep and explore the complexities of rum.
Guests will be able to discover and taste more than 200 of the world’s best rums and experience delicious cocktails mixed by Georgi and Sly at Glaziers Hall, London Bridge. The show is jam-packed with masterclasses and talks led by famed rum experts, industry bodies and personalities as well as immersive experiences from 40 exhibitors. There is something for everyone to enjoy, from introductions to the world of rum, to a masterclass on the rarest of rare.
Tickets start at just £45 including a complimentary Cocktail Token and Dream Tot token that gives the ticket-holder an opportunity to taste one of the rarest, most sought after rums at the show, each selling for more than £250 a bottle.
Over the past few years, rum’s popularity has grown enormously. To help drinkers navigate the broad complexity of the category, The Whisky Exchange launched its own classification system in 2019. This classification has set a benchmark that others are following and adding to, helping to create more transparency in rum for everyone.
Dawn Davies, buying director at The Whisky Exchange and staunch supporter of the category says:
“The rum category is on the rise and we are at the forefront of this movement. This show will allow us to bring the world of rum together to inspire and bring new customers into the category to enjoy this amazingly diverse spirit.”
