Right now, bars need our support more than ever and every cocktail counts! In response to the decimation of the hospitality industry due to COVID and the government’s curfew, the organisers of London Cocktail Week (LCW) have decided to extend LCW celebrations to run the entire month of October in a bid to reinvigorate the bar scene.
London Cocktail Week (LCW) 2020 will take place from 1st until 31st October, giving imbibers the chance to get out there and help the London bar scene survive by enjoying £6 cocktails in some of the capital’s best-loved bars.
This year’s festival has gained support from four industry giants – Brown-Forman, Diageo, Edrington-Beam Suntory and Moët Hennessy – along with the backing of 26 individual brands in a collective effort to reinvigorate the London on-trade following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Attendees can purchase a £15 festival wristband that will be valid for the entire month of October and unlocks access to £6 Signature Serves and immersive experiences in hundreds of London venues. Naturally, strict social distancing, cleaning and face covering measures are in place in participating bars to keep customers safe and quash the risk of contamination.
As well as signature cocktails, there will also be a month-long schedule of physically distanced, ticketed events, and some venues will also be hosting immersive pop-ups or extended special menus curated especially for London Cocktail Week 2020, spreading the spirit of The Cocktail Village (which has been cancelled this year for social distancing reasons and to redirect income to bars), right across the city.
