DUM Biryani House Launches Late-Night Summer Lock-in, The Blind Tiger

This August, DUM Biryani House are launching The Blind Tiger, a late-night lock-in for the revellers of Soho.

The biryani spot has created an after-hours bar menu and spiced cocktails, reminiscent of the illicit drinking dens of Hyderabad, that will be available Fridays (10pm – 12am) and Saturdays (10pm – 2am).

Blind Tiger Menu

Catering to the desires of Soho barflies, The Blind Tiger (a nickname given to speakeasies in the ‘20s) will be serving up a menu of signature small plates and snacks that pay tribute to the flavours of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Dishes on the menu include Pumpkin Papdi Chaat, a selection of crisp flatbreads with masala pumpkin, yoghurt and chutney, and hot and sour Kodi Vepudu Wings with crispy ginger.

The subterranean haunt will also be shaking up their cocktail menu, mixing nightcaps such as the Zaffrani Zamana with saffron infused whisky, Angostura bitters and cane syrup, and Gande Sapne – a punchy vodka based cocktail with cardamom, sesame seeds and coffee liqueur.

Zaffrani cocktail

With DUM Biryani House known for their hip-hop playlists and lively atmosphere, The Blind Tiger promises the perfect spot to continue the night into the early hours with great beats, cocktails, and a lax liquor license.

Founder Dhruv Mittal says,

“In Hyderabad, the spiritual home of the biryani, the drinking culture is always hushed because of laws and attitudes. It has produced a slew of under the radar, late-night bars, which we want to recreate here in Soho, with The Blind Tiger.”

The Blind Tiger will launch on the 16th August, running every Friday and Saturday until late September.
